TwinLab Super Acidophilus is the highest quality and most potent Lactobacillus acidophillus product available. It provides not only acidophillus but also two of the most beneficial bifidobacteria ( bifidum and longum ), so important for maintaining good health. For additional benefits, concentrated frucooligosaccharides ( FOS ) are also included which promote the growth of friendly bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract.

Fructooligosaccharides are a type of carbohydrate which occur naturally in certain foods such as jerusalem artichoke, onions and garlic. One specially formulated, highly concentrated capsule contains 100 % Lactobacillus acidophillus developed by Dr. Khem Shahani and has been extensively researched at the university of Nebraska. Lactobacillus acidophilus is patented, and is the most beneficial strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus commercially available. It is also stable and resistant to stomach acid.
