Description

Flax Seed Oil is the most potent known source of alpha-linolenic acid, an essential omega-3 fatty acid. It is extracted from organically grown flax seeds using a special cold-pressing process, which minimizes the damaging effects of light, oxygen and heat.

Flax Seed Oil is also rich in the omega-6 essential fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as the omega-9 essential fatty acid, oleic acid. With a total EFA content greater than 70%, and a total unsaturation of greater than 90%, this is a cost-effective source of omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are involved in prostaglandin synthesis, hormone production, immune response, fat metabolism, and cell membrane integrity and fluidity.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon contains:

Flax Seed Oil: 14 g

Alpha-Linolenic Acid (Omega-3): 8.1 g

Linoleic Acid (Omega-6): 2.3 g

Oleic Acid (Omega-9): 2.2 g

Other ingredients: Rosemary, mixed tocopherols, ascorbyl palmitate, citric acid.

Suggested Usage

As a dietary supplement, up to 2 tablespoons daily, preferably with meals. Suitable as a salad oil. Not for use in frying. Refrigerate after opening.
