The key to olive leaf extract is a bitter phytochemical compound called Oleuropein extracted from the leaves of the Mission and Manzanillo olive trees.
Oleuropein is a diastercomeric indoide, which means that its molecule reflects light in both the left and right handed direction (levortatory and dextortatory). It also means that it has phyto-nutrients with therapeutic potency sensitive to excessive heat, as can be generated during an extraction process.
