Description

Perilla Oil 1000 is an alternate source of Omega-3 essential fatty acids. It is derived from the Asian Beefsteak plant (Perilla fructescens.) Flax seed oil contains 60% Omega-3 fatty acids and 20% Omega-6 fatty acids, a 3 to 1 ratio. Fish oils are similar but more expensive and more subject to oxidation because they are more highly unsaturated. They also contain long chain Omega-3's such as EPA and DHA which are synthesized in the body from alpha-linolenic acid.
